Sins of a Solar Empire by Stardock

As the PC gaming industry slowly turns more and more towards seemingly useless anti-pirate software that often even hurt the end user, one company stands against the tide. Stardock, with the misfortune to sound similar to the software that swept (read: fucked up) computers of gamers around the world including mine, had a history of making great games that have absolutely no Digital Rights Management software.

I will admit I have tried Sins of a Solar Empire when the game came out almost a year ago but could not wrap my head around the concept of a 4XRTS within the three hours allotted time I usually put on new games. Yes, you read that right, this is a 4X (Explore, Expand, Exploit, Exterminate) real time strategy game. Read the rest of this entry »
